2024 AFCON

The tournament was supposed to he held in summer, but was pushed back to January 2024 due to West and Central Africa tropical rain season. Beginning in 13th of January. This is the reason the name remains AFCON 2023, while the tournament starts in 2024. The logo and branding on the the championship use the name Coupe d’Afrique des Nations 2023 and official name for sponsorship reasons is TotalEnergies 2024 Africa Cup of Nations.
